MICHAEL HARMON

The fullness of God is a result of discipleship by God's Holy Spirit that produces an anointing that transforms the measure (metron=limited portion of Christ's nature) into the fullness (pleroma=the totality of divine powers at work in the transformation of a believer)so that we are progressively trained, equipped, and maturing in the nature and character of Christ while on this earth through discipleship. ( Ephesians 4:7-16). This means that whatever we are gifted in will grow into other giftings. And, whatever we are anointed in will increase in other anointings. And, whatever we steward (manage well) will bring an increase of 30, 60, and 100 fold, spiritually as well as physically. (Matthew 25:1-30)

(The parable of the talents isn't just about physical provision, it is also about the spiritual provision that comes from stewarding/ managing well the spiritual life through discipleship.)

Further, we are never finished with discipleship while we are upon this earth. To declare "been there, done that" concerning discipleship is an affront (offense) to God and the sanctification process (Psalm 77:1-3).

Fullness is not our future, although it shapes our future. Fullness is our present level of living in the presence of the Lord as we live in obedience to His voice and His written word. Fullness affects our current level in the maturing process as it takes the past and turns it toward our good (Romans 8:28) by transforming our mind from a flesly mindset through repentace that brings us the ability to put on the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)

So the point of discipleship is that we would never settle, never slumber, and never stray from His fullness as we move from "grace to grace" (John 1:16) and from "glory to glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Fullness is transformational and comes in part until God brings in the fullness of His kingdom to bear for eternity.(1 Corinthians 13:12)

Fullness will not be completed until we are translated from the current physical realm, the old heaven and earth, to our final destination in the spiritual realm where a new heaven and a new earth will be realized.(Revelation 21 & 22) In fullness, the former heaven and earth is done away with (Revelation 21:1b) and the new heaven and earth is realized in the culmination of God's kingdom in eternity (Revelation 21:1a / 2 Corinthians 5:1-5).

So the key to living in fullness is to never settle for the current level of fullness that we are experiencing, but we must move with God each time he moves in our lives. To never settle is referenced in Psalm 77:1-3 where we give up earthly comfort for the purpose of growth.

The Bible says in Psalm 77:19 that God moved ahead of Israel in the Red Sea crossing "but His footprints were unseen". We must never miss the point that our fullness is pioneered by God through our willingness to stay involved in His process of deliverance and discipleship, because discipleship is deliverence. We can't take a vacation in the middle of the Red Sea! We must follow His footprints to the promised land to reveal His fullness in our lives here on earth, even though the promised land that Israel was seeking was only a measure of His fullness. The promised land becomes permanent in eternity as we are translated from the former promised land to the coming promised land by His transformation in us that eventually brings forth the transformation of all things at the end of this age when we see His face (Revelation 22:4) and are finally transformed completely into our new spiritual body.(1 Corinthians 5:1-5)

So "refusing to be comforted" means that we are constantly seeking the "more" of God's fullness in the midst of God's fullness as we wait for God's fullness. (Psalm 77:1-3)

To live with a view to fullness means that we live as though we were empty. Being "poor in spirit"(Matthew 5:3) leads us to "see" (perceive) God in all things toward His fullness.

This is the process of living with eternity in mind as we live out God's vision and mission for our fullness in Christ. It is here where we are no longer measured according to a 'metron' limited portion(Ephesians 4:7), but we become mature and are measured with a stature measured by Christ's fullness (pleroma=the totality of divine powers at work in the transformation of a believer. (Ephesians 4:13)

We have been slumbering and sleeping too long as His Church: now is the time to stay awake, stay alert, and be aware of the work He wants to do in each of us.
